The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, or adek for short, is the main regulatory authority of the capital’s public and private schools. Founded in 2005, it is a government body under the umbrella of the UAE’s president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
